- Paula Pritchard v Caerphilly CBC (2013) CC (His Honour Judge Seys-Llewellyn QC) (Cardiff) - A landlord's knowledge of a defect let to a tenant was relevant to the landlord's duty of care under the Defective Premises Act 1972 s.4.
- Gary Samuel v (1) Rhondda CBC (2) Welsh Water (2013) CC (Cardiff) - A highway authority had established its defence under the Highways Act 1980 s.58 to a personal injury claim resulting from a pedestrian tripping on a raised stopcock cover. The court found that the authority's system of a visual inspection was reasonable and it would have placed too high a burden upon it to carry out physical inspections.
